I paint with no goals, letting my feeling and color lead. I concentrate on building the painting from many layers and many phases. Each layer adds to its history and even if you don’t see the underlayers they are there to direct my working and add to the story in their silent way. Surprisingly, often in the end result there is something recognizable and something telling a story even though I have no story in the beginning of the work.
