Dance of Color and Shadow, Stories Visualizing the Unseen in the Arctic and Antarctica

Kaisa Sirén is an artist who is drawn to cold areas and the ethereal landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctic regions. In Kaisa’s homeland of Finland above the Arctic Circle, she concentrates in capturing the colors and contrasts of the eight seasons she has. But while Kaisa is a winter person, she travels to the higher latitudes and the Antarctic region for new inspirations and stories. In this presentation, she will introduce you to how she builds stories and visualizes the unseen while using the Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) technique. These stories will take you on a journey beyond the usual, to the areas where the camera captures the dance of color and shadow, revealing the unseen and unpredictable rhythms of light.
